Gabriola is serviced with normal telephone, power and cable (TV and high-speed internet) services. | Don't expect to find big-box stores on Gabriola. Also, don't expect to find fast-food chains: the service in our local restaurants is very good, but you should be prepared to relax while you eat your meal or drink your tea or coffee. |

| A note about medical services... Gabriola has the benefit of a volunteer fire department, an RCMP detachment, and local medical professionals, including a full-time ambulance service. It does not (yet!) have an emergency medical facility. Serious injuries require transportation to Nanaimo's Regional Hospital. |
