Sights and Attractions

Look here, for information about parks, trails, markets, beaches, and other places of special interest on Gabriola. If today is a "what shall we do?" day, you'll find plenty of ideas on this page.

The Saturday Market

If you're on Gabriola on a summer Saturday, you won't want to miss the market. Starting around 10:00 a.m. and ending around noon, the market is an event for locals and visitors alike. Gabriolans will wander the market, meeting friends and neighbours, and picking up fresh baked goods, and locally grown fruits and vegetables; visitors will enjoy the atmosphere, and will want to take advantage of the chance to buy local crafts and artwork. You'll find the market just a short walk (or a very short drive) from the ferry landing, at the corner of North Road and South Road.
