Come see how these well rounded artists tri-every-angle to be squared with this fun challenge. The challenge: everyone working on 12×12 inch canvases. 110 canvases – and more than 90 artists including 9 under 16 years – see list below (Youth names not listed). All the canvases will sell for the same price: $225 (adult) or $85 (youth). Show Opening is on Friday, Feb 22nd, from 7-9pm with wine & cheese. Also open on Saturday 10am – 4pm and Sunday 11am – 3pm. We have every kind of medium this year including fabric, metal, glass, mosaic, pa-ta-ti, paints of all description, mixed media & more. It’s going to be a spectacular show!!! On the Saturday (Feb. 23rd), Gwen Spinks will be adding a link on her website on the “ART” page so you can see the whole show (if you can’t make it in person)! Folks had such a great time on our Snow Bus that we’ve extended the number of runs we’re doing!

Limited seats – don’t delay.

Ticket holders walk on the 6:15am ferry and meet the bus on the ferry. The bus will be returning on the 5pm ferry.

Second round of auditions for “Old Love” by Norm Foster. Performance dates are May 23rd to 26th.

Auditions for our May production of Norm Foster’s delightful comedy Old Love will be held at the Rollo Centre on Sunday, February 10th from 2pm to 4pm and Sunday, February 17th from 4pm to 6pm.

Synopsis: Old Love is a funny, touching story of lost loves, bad relationships, and second chances that spans three decades, and half a dozen meetings between Bud, a salesman, and Molly, his boss’s wife. One of them is smitten from the very first meeting and the other … well, let’s just say is less so.

There are six roles to be cast:

Bud Mitchell (lead role) 50s – 60s – Sales rep for Arthur’s company

Arthur Graham (supporting role) 60s – Bud’s employer

Arthur Graham Jr. (supporting role) 30s – 40s

Molly Graham (lead role) 50s – 60s – Married to Arthur, later his widow

Kitty Mitchell (supporting role) 40s – 50s – Bud’s ex-wife

***Kendra Graham (supporting role) 30s – 40s – married to Arthur Jr.

***(also plays four cameo roles: Shirley, the secretary; and Sandra, Delores and Claire, Bud’s dates)

What does it mean to be an elder today?
As elders, what can we offer our community?
How do we want to be remembered?

Using the storying and experiential tools of Narrative and Drama Therapy we will explore aging, death, and dying; creating a legacy; and taking one’s place as elders in our community.

This circuit-style exercise program supports those people who are managing chronic health conditions including bone and joint conditions, diabetes, heart and respirator conditions, cancer, obesity, and mental health issues.

Participants work at their own level and pace, core and stretching can be done from a chair, and exercises have increasing levels of difficulty that will challenge you to increase strength, balance, flexibility and joint mobility.

Bonus benefits: have fun and meet new people!
