Events

From garden tours, to film festivals, to all sorts of music and artistic displays and events, you'll find plenty of scheduled activities on Gabriola. You might find that the only problem will be deciding which events to enjoy while you're here. For information about specific events, click here.

Where to Stay

The first answer to the ""where to stay"" question is, of course: ""Gabriola""! Once you've arrived here, you'll want to stay. Click here, for ideas and suggestions about the many options for accommodation while you're on Gabriola.

Getting Around

Apart from our local (and very busy) taxi service, there is no public transportation on Gabriola. There is however, a business on the island offering self propelled guided tours, and another that rents bicycles. See the List of Members page for more information. Most of Gabriola's roads are curved and hilly. Watch out for deer, cyclists, pedestrians and slow drivers. Remember to take your time and enjoy the Gabriola experience while you're getting around the island. For more information, check out the Chamber's GoGabriola '09 brochure.
