FREE Event | Registration starts at VIU Lower Cafeteria at 9am |

Justin Trudeau is bringing his national town hall tour to Nanaimo on Friday, February 2 at 11 a.m. at Vancouver Island University — his first and maybe only stop in B.C. — and we want you to join us there and put him in the hot seat.

We’ve been told it’s ‘first come, first serve’ seating, so if you’re interested in getting a spot inside, you’ll need to get there bright and early. Registration starts at the VIU Lower Cafeteria at 9 a.m.

If you aren’t one of the lucky few who gets a seat, join us outside for a respectful demonstration showing Justin Trudeau and the media we’re serious about stopping Kinder Morgan.

Only weeks after an oil tanker caught fire and sank into the Pacific, Trudeau is coming back to Vancouver Island, the place just a few years ago he promised us, on camera, he would re-do Kinder Morgan’s review — a  review that didn’t even consider the possibility of a catastrophe like the Sanchi.

Instead, he approved the oil tanker expansion under Harper’s old, broken process. And failed to live up to his promise of letting communities grant permission for projects like Kinder Morgan’s. He tried to violate First Nations rights. Most recently, he asked the National Energy Board to let the Texas company break local and provincial laws.

So yeah, he has some explaining to do here in B.C.

Let’s make sure real British Columbians opposed to tanker expansion get our chance to be heard. This might be your last chance to speak to our Prime Minister before next year’s federal election.
